iMove project

Lumen is working with ‘imove’ and other partners during 2010. This enables us to produce  a series of  8 new artistic commissions around the theme of human movement, and be site specific. This will produce a DVD and over ten screenings of the work to audiences, including free public outdoor screenings across the Yorkshire region

imove is Yorkshire’s signature programme for ensuring a legacy for London 2012. It is funded by the Legacy Trust.  Lumen are co-producing  The Body in the City with imove and will  be applying for the project to become officially recognised as part of Yorkshire’s contribution to the Cultural Olympiad

2010 commissioned moving image artists are:
Bernd Behr
Rachel Goodyear
Emily Richardson
Emma Rushton & Derek Tyman
Matt and Rob Vale

This site specific project will look at Holmfirth, Leeds, Scarborough and Wakefield. It will produce 8 new works, including 4 community projects, free large-scale public screenings of the works across Yorkshire, a free programme of media art workshops and 4 artists’ master classes.
